About the Role

YETI is seeking a Shopify Developer to build, maintain and support yeti.co.jp. You will own well-defined storefront features from implementation through testing and release, and you will help resolve Shopify production defects and integration issues.

The site operates within YETI’s Shopify → Boomi → SAP commerce landscape. Your responsibility is the Shopify side of that environment—storefront code, apps, APIs, webhooks, configuration and data behavior. You will collaborate with senior developers and partner teams when a solution or incident extends into Boomi or SAP; you will not be expected to develop those platforms.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain Shopify themes, templates, sections and responsive storefront functionality using Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Deliver well-defined customer and business features from requirements through development, testing, deployment and documentation.
• Provide Shopify production break/fix support by reproducing defects, debugging code and configuration, reviewing API or webhook behavior, and implementing tested fixes.
• Help troubleshoot Shopify-side order, product, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, return and refund interfaces; escalate complex architectural or downstream issues with clear diagnostic evidence.
• Configure and maintain Shopify applications and third-party integrations while considering compatibility, performance and customer impact.
• Write readable, maintainable code; participate in pull-request reviews; and follow established testing, Git and CI/CD practices.
• Test changes across supported devices and browsers and contribute to storefront performance, accessibility, technical SEO and security.
• Collaborate with senior developers, product, UX, QA and business partners to estimate and deliver work reliably.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of professional web or software development experience, and hands-on Shopify development.
• Working proficiency with Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript; TypeScript experience is beneficial.
• Experience developing or maintaining Shopify themes, reusable sections and storefront components.
• Working knowledge of Shopify APIs, GraphQL or REST, webhooks, metafields/metaobjects and application integrations.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, including the ability to take a well-defined issue from investigation through tested resolution.
• Familiarity with Git, pull requests, testing and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of responsive design, basic web performance, cross-browser compatibility and accessible development.
• Effective written and verbal English communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team.

Preferred

• Experience with Shopify Plus or another enterprise-scale Shopify implementation.
• Exposure to Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility, custom applications, React or Node.js.
• Experience supporting integrations with inventory, fulfillment, ERP, payment or middleware platforms.
