Schedule/Hours: Overnight 6:00pm-7:00am Will To Work Around Schedule For Which Day Of Week
Assists residents staying in the Corps shelter overnight; performs client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security, and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order. reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor or Corps Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in the intake of clients.
- Maintains proper intake forms and records.
- Completes nightly shift reports to communicate with other shelter monitors and daytime staff.
- Assists in serving clients meals
- Ensures the safety of both the facility and clients by monitoring the property.
- Completes routine cleaning schedule.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to think clearly and quickly in order to maintain control of clients.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently work on with multiple people at the same time without becoming frustrated or disorganized.
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
- Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- One year experience performing security or social service work preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications:
- Valid State Driver’s License (Preferred)
- Food Handlers Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
