What you’ll do
• SHE Management System: Manage and maintain the site’s SHE Management System to ensure compliance with ISO requirements and Weir Group Standards.
• Field Services: Support teams by conducting site inspections, attending site meetings, and managing customer compliance requirements, including updating records and documents on clients’ contractor management systems.
• Reporting and Corrective Actions: Manage the SHIELD reporting system for the site, monitor the effective implementation of corrective actions, and ensure timely closure of these actions.
• Risk Management: Facilitate risk assessments and manage action plans to mitigate identified risks.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
• Travel Requirements: The role primarily requires onsite presence with occasional travel to support field services and compliance activities as needed.
• Success Indicators: Success in this role will be measured by maintaining compliance with SHE standards, effective risk mitigation, timely corrective action closure, and fostering a strong safety culture across site activities.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
• Higher National Diploma, preferably in the field of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)
• Experience in implementing and maintaining a SHE Management System
• Knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environmental legislation and compliance
• Valid Driver’s License
Nice-to-haves:
• NEBOSH certification or equivalent safety qualification
• Experience managing, SHE compliance in mining or industrial environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
