You will be responsible the design and development of products, solutions, and systems in the industry of rotating equipment. The position requires understanding of engineering concepts, methods, and procedures in the domain of shaft line integration of rotating machinery.

As a Shaft Line Integration Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
  • Resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
  • Working together with people from the same business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
  • Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presenting to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have BSc., MSc. or high school diploma from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Have some experience in the design of couplings, coupling guards, gear boxes and associated systems.
  • Have good knowledge of engineering concept related to shaft line integration of rotating equipment.
  • Have team player attitude and inclusiveness, combined with good communication skills.
  • Understand rotating machinery including technical domains such as mechanical design, rotor dynamic, thermodynamics.
  • Have a good knowledge project management concepts and tools needed to manage various stakeholders, time, and budget.
  • Have good knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter platform
  • Have understanding of Centrifugal compressors operability concepts
