The Setup Coordinator is based in Mt. Pleasant, IA and reports to the Lead Auction Coordinator. This position is responsible for preparing, staging, and maintaining equipment for auctions at both our facility and remote sale sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Auction Setup & Equipment Preparation
- Travel to auction sites to prepare items for sale, including hand-cleaning and power-washing equipment
- Arrange pallets and equipment to ensure a clean, organized, and professional setup
- Stage equipment according to sale-day sequencing to support efficient auction flow
Equipment Operation & Handling
- Safely operate a variety of equipment, including skid steers, loaders, farm machinery, and other assets being sold
- Transport and position equipment as needed to support setup and sale-day execution
Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on equipment (e.g., batteries, fuel, oil, etc.)
- Identify and communicate any equipment issues that may impact sale readiness
Sales & Team Coordination
- Collaborate with the Lead Auction Coordinator, Sales Representatives, and equipment owners to ensure all items are properly staged and ready
- Communicate effectively to ensure alignment on auction expectations and timelines
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the Mt. Pleasant, IA yard and auction facility
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Agricultural and/or construction background strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license required, with ability and interest in obtaining a CDL-A
- Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs consistently and perform physical tasks including bending and twisting
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays, and work extended hours as needed
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication skills via phone, text, and email
- Customer service mindset when interacting with auction clients on-site
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook) preferred
