Position Overview
Be a part of a one-of-a-kind opportunity of mentoring the teenagers of Egypt entering the world of tech. As a Session Lead for this youth upskilling program, you deliver weekly virtual sessions to your students to guide them throughout their learning journey.
This program is a 5-year blended-learning upskilling program. Become a Session Lead for one of our high-demand specializations. We’re currently hiring Session Leads for the following Nanodegree programs:
- Computer Fundamentals
- Programming Fundamentals
- Cybersecurity Foundation
- Data Analytics Foundation
- Embedded Systems Foundation
- Web Development Foundation
- Digital Arts
Session Leads are industry professionals who provide world-class technical support to our learners in their Nanodegree journey. All our session leads are handpicked through a rigorous selection process so that we can truly be #studentfirst.
You will be meeting virtually with your students for group work, activities and short lectures and are expected to respond to their technical questions and check in with them to make sure they are making progress.

What We’re Looking For- Resident of Egypt; fluency in English and Arabic
- Passion, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching and working with teenagers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or public speaking
- Technical fluency in one of the specialization areas (see below)
- A student-first mindset with a commitment to making learning enjoyable
- Availability to commit to a part-time, contractor-based engagement
🔹 Computer Fundamentals
- Have experience in working with Computer Network Basics, HTTP, TCP/IP, HTML, Basic Spreadsheet Use, Google Docs, Professional Presentations, Data Encoding, Command Line Interface Basics, Basic Computer Programming, Computer Memory Familiarity, Data Types In Programming, Hexadecimal Numbers, Creative Problem Solving, Algorithmic Problem Solving, Cybersecurity Fluency, Basic Computer Hardware, basic Data Science, Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts.
🔹 Programming Fundamentals
- Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Data Analysis & Wrangling, Jupyter Notebooks
- Digital design, Computer architecture, Cybersecurity familiarity
🔹 Cybersecurity (Level 3 & 4)
- Foundations, Incident Response, Cryptography, Firewalls
- GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) knowledge
🔹 Data Analytics Foundation (Level 3 & 4)
- Python with Numpy & Pandas, Anaconda, Jupyter
- Git/GitHub, Data Visualization, A/B Testing, Probability
🔹 Embedded Systems Foundation (Level 3 & 4)
- Logic & Digital Systems, Circuits, Computer Architecture
🔹 Web Development Foundation (Level 3 & 4)
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM manipulation
🔹 Digital Arts
- History of digital design, Principles of digital art and design, Steps of the creative process, Apply the process of ideation, research, prototype, solution, and reflection to a design project, Typography and Composition, Compelling Composition
Responsibilities
- Leading weekly online sessions
- Respond to student questions and support them in overcoming challenges
- Creative, innovative approach for knowledge transfer to a younger group of students
- Proactively support students' empathy and simplified clear terminology
