Job Responsibilities:
As an SES Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing our existing infrastructure, which includes multiple Linux-based clusters located across India, North America, and Europe. You'll be part of a globally distributed team responsible for maintaining and scaling our cloud computing environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting users with cluster and application-related issues, as well as developing and debugging scripts for job submission and data post-processing.
The ideal candidate is self-driven and capable of independently managing their schedule to prioritize tasks effectively. They should be collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to follow established guidelines while contributing innovative yet practical solutions. A minimum of four years' experience in Linux/Windows server administration is required, along with two to four years' experience working with Linux HPC clusters and queuing systems. Familiarity with CAD systems such as NX, Catia and Solid Edge, and PLM systems such as Teamcenter or SAP-PLM is considered a plus.
Your Responsibilities
  • Support our existing environments from the Operating System level up to the scheduler and application stack
  • Software installation, updating, and scripting. As our customer demands arise, keep the applications they use up to date and configured properly.
  • Work with the business owners to schedule downtime for patching, as well as keeping the systems up to the required specifications
  • Working with the team to review our current solutions and find ways to improve and extend them.
  • Be responsible for updating and troubleshooting their pre/post-processing applications on their desktops
  • Work with other operations team members to implement their solutions when required

Who we are looking for
  • Ability to debug existing scripts and programs (Python/Shell)
  • Ability to create new scripts based on customer requirements
  • Awareness of standard automotive simulation tools and vendors
  • Good knowledge of programming environments such as Bash, Python, Powershell, and Go
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Linux installation and patching (RedHat, RockyLinux, etc.)
  • Understand basic concepts of job scheduling (PBS or Slurm)
  • Be able to access and query databases such as MySQL, MsSQL, or PostgreSQL
  • Must have a basic understanding of how cloud services work (Azure/AWS)
  • Ability to effectively converse with people with different technical abilities
  • Must be able to accurately document our systems and solution
  • Associate's degree in computer science or comparable experience
  • 4 - 8 years of experience in IT/Engineering IT
