The Services Software Engineer is responsible for creating databases with client data during both the pre- and post-sales processes. Daily tasks involve working with existing databases and performing data extraction, transformation, and load. This role involves identifying opportunities to optimize conversions and recommending best practices to the Professional Services organization. The role will primarily work with internal teams but may require communication and/or travel to client sites as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities- Build and analyze SQL queries.
- Create SQL scripts to resolve reported issues and to provide clients with data not readily available in reporting options.
- Develop high-quality solutions utilizing best-of-breed technology solutions.
- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
- Assist Customer Support/IT/DevOps teams in troubleshooting.
- Provide timely scheduled time management reporting.
- Participate in department initiatives and values.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant real-world experience.
- 3-6 years of experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Demonstrated ability working with SQL servers, SQL Server Reporting Services, and writing SQL queries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Products.
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- 1-3 years of experience with ASP.NET, XML, jQuery, JSON, and Ajax.
- 1-3 years of experience with C# or other Object-Oriented Programming Language.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience
- 3–6 years of experience with SQL Server Management Studio
