  • Serves as senior technical resource on project team
  • Responsible for the evaluation, recommendation and build out of customer requirements on the platform utilizing defined best practices for configuration and development
  • Provides the primary technical effort to configure and develop the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements and processes
  • Utilize the latest tools, languages and platforms to meet functional requirements and solve complex client issues
  • Build a customer-focused relationship with client to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution
  • Design and develop proprietary software solutions for clients
  • Drive successful delivery of results based on scope of work
  • Assist clients throughout the full lifecycle of software development from project conceptualization and planning to development, implementation, maintenance and support
  • Collaborate and contribute on the creation, deployment and maintenance of technical best practice and standards
  • Ensure proactive communication with project team
  • Ensure technical deliverables to customers are complete, consistent, high quality, on time, and deliver valued outcomes
  • Work with product owner/stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements
  • Design / Develop ServiceNow Forms and Tables as well as Modules
  • Develop Scoped Applications working with ServiceNow Studio
  • Develop Workflow / Flow Designer where required to drive Approvals, Fulfillment, and Process Lifecycle
  • Develop systems integrations and process automation with External system REST APIs
  • Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal)
  • Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow
  • May specialize in a given area of development such as Web/Internet applications, mobile, cloud application, system integration, UI / UX design, software testing, Web services, or a specific SN Product area
  • Work with product owner/stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements
  • Produce client deliverables such as detailed design documentation, unit test plans and well documented code
  • Troubleshooting code related issues/defects
  • Identify additional product/service opportunities
  • Provide technical support to configure and develop the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements and processes
  • Understand the underlying business need conveyed through discussion and user stories

Experience

  • Career professional within field
  • Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline
  • Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment
  • Understand capabilities and shortcomings of the tech stack, especially with Portal
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience within the ServiceNow Platform, include designing, creating and configuring scoped applications
  • 5+ years of other business experience or IT experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in a professional services organization or as a consultant
  • 5+ years of Scripting/Coding Experience (JavaScript preferred)
  • Functional knowledge and implementation experience of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks working directly with customers and clients
  • Technically savvy and able to design and build applications that meet business goals and objectives
  • Experience configuring core ServiceNow modules in an enterprise environment including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
  • In-depth knowledge of implementing ServiceNow Architecture
  • In-depth knowledge of Scoped Applications Development in ServiceNow
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow Scripting
  • Demonstrated experience with Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST)
  • Experience with web services integrations
  • Applied experience working in an Agile/Scrum/XP environment
  • It is mandatory to be JavaScript Proficient, able to write, understand and debug Vanilla JavaScript
  • Enterprise Asset Management certification highly desired, but other ServiceNow Asset Management product experience is acceptable 

Education/Certification

  • Certified System Administrator
  • Certified Application Developer
  • ServiceNow Implementation Badge
  • Two+ (2) CIS Certs + Relevant Micro Certifications
  • Working toward product or platform specialty
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • ITIL Foundations or higher certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field; and four (4) years experience, or more, working in professional services, information technology, or business operations; OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experiences relative to the domain of expertise.

Note: Base salary range is $100,000 to $125,000. This range represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range when taking into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
