About The Role:
As a Serging Specialist, you will safely work alongside others in the Ernesta Fabrication and Sample facility. You will bring a curious mindset, eager to learn as you move between cut table operations, serging machines and distribution of samples to customers.
What You'll Do:
- Serge (sew) samples that will be distributed to customers utilizing a serging machine
- Operate a cut table machine and other cutting equipment to make samples from rolls of carpet
- Heat seal labels that correctly identify each sample
- Review each work order paying very close attention to details for each order to select the right samples to be sent to customers
- Process sample returns
- Help to manage sample inventory
- Other tasks as assigned
Key Qualifications Include:
- Industry-related experience (fabric, carpet, manufacturing, etc.) is desirable
- Experience driving a forklift/pole truck is desirable
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to be an effective team member
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
