The Sepsis Coordinator is a nurse responsible for the coordination of systems and services
required to maintain quality care for the hospitals septic patients of all stages. The Sepsis
Coordinator works in collaboration with the CNO to initiate and manage operations associated
with the program development, and performance improvement for sepsis.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and
abilities is qualifying. A typical way would be:
Education
Possession of Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university required or a Master’s Degree in Nursing or health related field is preferred.
Experience
1. Minimum of five years nursing practice with 2 years in critical care
2. Experience with data collection, analysis and report writing
3. Experience with computer and other productivity application
4. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
Licensure/Certification
Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIHSS
Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of five years nursing practice
- Two years in critical care
- Experience with data collection and analysis
- Valid RN license in California
