We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to drive organic traffic and improve the online visibility of our brand and creating high-quality long-form web content. This role will report to the Sr. SEO and Content Marketing Manager.
Location: remote 
Compensation: $110,000 - 120,000

Who You Are

You are a passionate SEO guru with extensive experience in technical, on-page SEO, and off-page SEO, as well as content development. You drive results in the ever-evolving digital landscape and have a deep understanding of all things SEO. You stay ahead of industry trends and have your finger on the pulse of the rapidly changing world of SEO, especially with AI tech rising to prominence. You are a highly collaborative teammate with strong verbal and written communication skills and you create compelling digital content and effectively convey complex SEO concepts to cross-functional teams. You are comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders, and your decision-making is data-driven. You excel in analyzing performance metrics, drawing actionable insights, and adjusting strategies to maximize organic traffic and search engine rankings.

What we are looking for you to do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings
  • Conduct thorough keyword research / topical research and analysis to identify new content opportunities and optimize existing content
  • Collaborate with content creators, web developers, and other stakeholders to ensure on-page and off-page optimization
  • Write and edit SEO content, including long-form blog posts, landing pages, and other digital content to improve SEO rankings
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and changes to search trends due to AI to adjust strategies accordingly
  • Analyze website performance metrics and implement data-driven decisions to improve SEO effectiveness
  • Perform regular technical SEO audits to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
  • Implement solutions from those technical audits to improve website performance and health
  • Run link building outreach campaigns to build a network of syndicate partners
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of SEO initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SEO best practices into all aspects of the business
  • Report weekly on site health, performance, and rankings to continuously monitor SEO impact

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (additional certifications in SEO or digital marketing are a plus)
  • Proven ability to build foundational strategy and execute against broader strategic goals and direction
  • Hubspot and Salesforce reporting required
  • 3+ years of experience as an SEO Manager or similar role, with a successful track record of improving organic search performance
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Moz, etc. required 
  • Strong ability to develop marketing content like blogs and landing pages
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO, especially regarding AI
  • Nice-to-have: an enthusiasm for (or background in) governance, risk, and compliance
  • *Submit portfolio, Must see writing samples, metrics on previous posts

Note: you must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

How you’ll know you’re successful in this role:

By the end of 2024, you will have:

  • Increased organic web traffic by 51% year-over-year
  • Created 5 new pillar pages on the website featuring top-performing content
  • Established long-term relationships with reputable tech/GRC/news sites that regularly link build with us
  • Written at least 20 keyword-driven blogs that attract new site visitors and capture the enterprise market
  • Improved our website health, mitigating as many SEO errors as possible

  • Analytics tools: Hotjar, Mutiny, 6Sense
  • Communications: Slack, Zoom

The full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications.
