Role Overview:
This is a full-time remote role for an SEO Intern with a strong focus on Link Building, Off-Page SEO, AI Search Visibility, AEO, and GEO.
We are looking for a motivated candidate who understands that effective link building is not just about acquiring backlinks, but about building relevant, contextual, and high-quality links based on keyword research, search intent, topical relevance, and website quality.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in modern SEO, guest blogging outreach, digital PR, AI visibility, and brand authority building.
You will play an important role in identifying backlink opportunities, executing outreach campaigns, researching competitors, improving brand mentions, and supporting IMQRScan's visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI search platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Research keywords, search intent, competitors, and target pages before starting link-building campaigns.
Identify relevant and high-quality websites for backlink opportunities. Build backlinks based on keyword relevance, topical relevance, contextual placement, and website quality.
- Conduct guest blogging, link insertion, and publisher outreach campaigns.
- Reach out to webmasters, bloggers, publishers, editors, SaaS companies, and website owners for relevant placements.
- Perform competitor backlink analysis and identify link-gap opportunities.
- Evaluate websites based on organic traffic, topical relevance, authority, backlink profile, traffic trends, and spam signals.
- Assist in developing and improving white-hat link-building strategies.
- Understand and apply natural anchor-text strategies.
- Monitor new, lost, and existing backlinks using SEO tools.
- Maintain outreach logs, backlink records, publisher relationships, and reporting databases.
- Identify opportunities for brand mentions, citations, digital PR, and authority building.
- Support content promotion and organic visibility through Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, and Medium.
- Identify relevant discussions and communities where IMQRScan can be naturally mentioned without spam.
- Research competitor visibility across Google and AI-powered search platforms.
- Support AI Visibility and AI Search Optimization initiatives.
- Assist with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) to improve visibility for question-based and answer-driven searches.
- Assist with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to improve brand visibility, mentions, and citations in generative AI platforms.
- Research how brands are being mentioned or recommended in platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI search tools.
- Track keyword rankings, backlink growth, brand mentions, and AI visibility where applicable.
- Ensure all SEO activities align with Google's guidelines, white-hat SEO techniques, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SEO and link-building principles.
- Good understanding of keyword research, search intent, and off-page SEO.
- Ability to understand the relationship between keywords, target pages, anchor text, and backlink relevance.
- Knowledge of white-hat SEO and ethical link-building practices.
- Proficiency in keyword research and basic SEO audits to identify trends and opportunities.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Good written communication and outreach skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team.
- Interest in SEO, SaaS, digital marketing, and AI-powered search.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, IT, or a related field is preferred.

- Guest Blogging Outreach Business (GBOB) course certification or training is highly preferred.
- Previous experience with guest blogging or backlink outreach.
- Know how to use SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Google Search Console, or similar platforms.
