SEO & GEO Innovation Manager

What you'll be doing

We’re looking for a curious SEO all-rounder to lead our efforts in Generative Engine Optimisation, driving visibility across AI-powered search experiences. As part of our Audience team, you’ll sit at the intersection of SEO, artificial intelligence and digital content strategy, working hands-on to ensure our multitude of brands are discoverable in AI-driven environments like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity AI and beyond. 

Reporting to the SEO Director and sitting within a small but experienced squad where you’ll have access to data science, data engineering and editorial support, you’ll combine deep SEO expertise (technical and content-based) with latest AI strategies to improve content visibility, automate workflows and deliver tools that enhance editorial and search performance. 

This is a hands-on, exciting role to develop tools and shape best practices, while working with editorial, engineering, data science, commercial, engineering and product teams. If you value experimentation, love solving complex problems and want to define best practices for the next generation of SEO, we want to hear from you.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

• Minimum two years experience in a SEO-focused role
• A deep understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO and off-page SEO.
• An interest in AI and automation in general, and within the search landscape
• Proficient with popular SEO tools including GA4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMRush and Screaming Frog
• Experience analysing large datasets (e.g. server logs) to uncover insights and opportunities
• Knowledge of Python, SQL and BigQuery is desirable but not essential
