For an ongoing development project we are looking for temporary support in verification and testing. The product being developed is a sensor unit for the automotive market, consisting of PCB, embedded software and housing. The design is complete and verification and test activities have started. That's where you come in: you plan and run environmental tests according to automotive standards, automate testing and data evaluation with Python, and work closely with the hardware, firmware and systems engineering teams on failure analysis.
Your Tasks
- Planning, execution and evaluation of environmental tests according to automotive standards
- Writing Python scripts for test automation, data processing and result evaluation
- Vehicle-level testing where required
- Improving and operating lab test benches, plus supporting MSA activities for the release of test equipment
- Investigating test failures and performing root cause analysis together with the hardware, firmware and systems engineering teams
- Building prototypes and carrying out release testing
- Documenting test procedures, test results and technical findings in line with automotive development and quality processes
Requirements
- Degree in physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable engineering discipline
- Solid programming skills in Python
- Experience with hands-on lab work
- Structured, careful way of working and a genuine interest in systematic troubleshooting
- An advantage: experience in automotive projects
