What we are building
Model Development Group is dedicated to building features in the Domino platform that enable data scientists to both quickly and efficiently develop their models. The mission of the team is to increase the velocity of the end-to-end model development process by providing generic sets of flexible and open tools with additional emphasis on environment management and effective collaboration.
What your impact will be
- Have a deep knowledge of Domino codebase, commonly implemented design patterns and various core platform services like MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Domino messaging queue etc.
- Be able to identify and fix technical issues or bottlenecks in the codebase
- Be able to represent the team in technical discussions with other groups or with leadership for the features developed and shipped by you
- Mentor junior team members and helping them improve their skills and knowledge
What we look for in this role
- 5+ years previously in a software engineering individual contributor role
- Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, Python, C/C++, C#
- Experience in design and development of large scale distributed systems
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

The annual US base salary range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

$179,000—$227,000 USD
