As a Research Analyst in the research and experimentation (Research XP) team within the Data and Analytics (DnA) department, here’s what will be in store for you:  

Primary goals:

  • Own and execute end-to-end proof of concepts that are cutting-edge in the programmatic space. These solutions could be used by brand direct, agencies, or internal MiQ stakeholders.
  • Translate the conceptualization dossier into analytical requirements and specifications, designing and developing the required functionality.
  • Infuse intelligence into PoCs using data science techniques.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to plan, activate, and measure media campaigns based on analytical outputs of the PoC
  • Inform adoption guide to scale the PoC to a full-fledged solution/product.

Secondary goals:

  • Share knowledge by writing blogs, articles, and research papers.
  • Organize innovation workshops every quarter.
  • Identify opportunities to monetize existing data assets.
  • Capture lessons from missteps by creating Correction of Error

Who are your stakeholders? 

  • Data & Analytics management: You’ll create prototypes, and design experiments for new product & solution ideas. You’ll work hand-in-glove with this team to take the solution to a wider organization.
  • Sales, Account Managers, Solution Engineers, and Traders: You’ll build prototypes for which this team will help you understand market requisition, build a commercial narrative, and help with the client feedback process.
  • Product management: You’ll build solutions that complement the global and local product roadmaps. Feedback will come through our client-facing product management team.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Experience:
    • Worked on data analytics projects (for a minimum of 3 years)
    • Worked on innovation projects, prototyping PoCs, designing experiments that could be scaled into products/solutions, and demonstrated an ability to build PoCs for complex, ambiguous problems (for a minimum of 1.5 years)
    • Worked on data science projects (good to have)
    • Having programmatic advertising knowledge is a plus.
  • Tech skills:
    • Working knowledge of both Python & SQL, able to code in both, and proficiency in either one.
    • Should be able to work in big data environments.
    • Working knowledge of basic statistics and machine learning techniques
    • Working knowledge of any visualization tool (good to have)
  • Soft skills:
    • Learning Mindset
    • Ability to work on unstructured problem statements.
    • Self-starter and a black-hat thinker
    • A passion for keeping up with the latest technologies and applying them to relevant products.
    • A determined sense of purpose that helps you achieve stretch goals.
