The Role

Who we are

Publica is the leading Advertising Platform for Connected Television. As audiences shift from Cable TV to Digital, Publica’s goal is to power the next generation of ad experiences on the big screen.

What we need to build together

The core of our platform is an Over-the-top (OTT) Header Bidding solution that enables publishers to run a unified auction between their direct sales and 50+ video Sell Side Platforms (SSPs) and buyers. In addition, we provide an Audience Management solution based on our integration with multiple Data vendors and a Server-Side Ad Insertion solution.

We’re looking for a Senior Yield Analyst to join our Platform Operations Team. If you are excited by technology that has the power to handle hundreds of thousands of transactions per second, collect tens of billions of events each day, and evaluate thousands of data-points in real-time all while responding in just a few milliseconds, then Publica is the place for you!

As a Senior Yield Analyst you will work across multiple data platforms in order to architect, extract, gather, manipulate, and interpret data. You will utilize our full BI stack - Databricks and Athena to design data sets, dashboards, and reports to drive the business efficiently and effectively enable growth. 

What you’ll get to do:

  • Design and build key Dashboards in Databricks
  • Build out creative reporting to enable our Sales teams
  • Help define standard KPIs to be used across all customers to judge our partners performance 
  • Drive advanced data analysis to form insights that drive strategy
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for stakeholders across the org
  • Collaborate with Publisher Operations, Finance, Sales, Executive team, and other stakeholders to use data to help solve problems and inform business decisions
  • Drive training and adoption of our Dashboards

 You should apply if you have most of this experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Experience working with a BI tool (Databricks preferred)

Statistical modeling and programming experience (Python preferred)

  • SQL skills including writing complex queries and using SQL as an investigative tool
  • Ability to synthesize technical information about large datasets to communicate both qualitatively and quantitatively
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to translate data into a meaningful story
  • Ability to collaborate with senior team members to complete tasks
  • Eagerness to learn

New York Applicants: The salary range for this position is $88,900 - $152,400. Actual pay may vary based on experience or geographic location.
