Position Summary
CVS Health is looking for a Sr. Workday Talent Management Strategy & Solutions Analyst. As a member of the Information Technology organization, this colleague will serve as an experienced and trusted technology partner supporting Human Resources business owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate possesses techno-functional expertise to assist in the delivery, enhancement, and ongoing support of HR technology solutions, with a primary focus on Workday Talent Management and related talent technologies.
Working closely with HR leaders, Product Owners, IT teams, and business stakeholders, the Sr. Workday TM Strategy & Solutions Analyst supports the analysis of business needs to collaboratively define business requirements, define scope and tasks, configure system changes, test moderate testing activities, provide production support, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role contributes technical expertise and functional knowledge to help ensure HR technology solutions effectively support talent management processes and business objectives.
The successful candidate collaborates with HR and IT partners to maintain system functionality, support technology initiatives, troubleshoot issues, develop reporting and analytics, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience. This position plays an important role in helping maximize the value of HR technology investments while supporting organizational goals, governance standards, and established best practices.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with HR leaders, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements, support solution development, and assist with the implementation of system enhancements.
- Understands the needs of the business and evaluates Workday and other technologies through research and testing to offer solutions to meet business needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and system functionality through workflow optimization, automation, and enhanced use of technology capabilities.
- Support the configuration, administration, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of HR technology platforms, including Workday Talent Management.
- Gather and document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and configuration changes in Jira in partnership with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
- Configure and maintain HR technology system settings and business processes under established governance / auditing guidelines to support business requirements and HR policies.
- Participate in system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, testing activities, and release management processes to support successful deployment and user adoption.
- Collaborate on development of reports, dashboards, and analytics that provide HR and business leaders with meaningful workforce insights and operational metrics.
- Investigate system issues, perform analysis, and collaborate with internal and external partners to support issue resolution and continuous system improvement.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including standard operating procedures, process flows, and configuration documentation.
- Manage assigned work across multiple initiatives, adjusting priorities as needed while meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail.
- Share knowledge, provide peer support, and contribute expertise to team discussions, projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
Full-time Remote will be considered with possible quarterly travel for onsite meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience configuring Workday Talent Management & Performance Management product area.
- 4+ years’ experience calculated fields, Business Processes and building solutions in Workday.
- 4+ years’ experience with strategic planning, delivery, and support of projects and programs.
- 3+ years’ experience demonstrating problem solving, solutioning, and decision-making skills.
- 3+ years’ experience delivering tracking tools such as Jira.
- 3+ years’ experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience configuring Workday Talent including Succession, Potential, Performance and Skills
- Familiarity with Workday Extend
- Workday Certification preferably in Talent & Performance
- Experience in Report writing
- Experience with Workday Integrations and Security configurations

The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $222,480.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
