Senior Web Engineer

As a Senior Web Engineer on the Business Applications team, you will be part of a group responsible for enabling core business functionality by ensuring the tooling the various business functions (Content Ops, Marketing, Finance, Legal) use are integrated seamlessly and help build functionality where that tooling falls short. This is the software that decides what appears on the Plex home screen, which titles are available in which country, how our content partners get paid, and which campaigns reach millions of users. You will collaborate with other teams across the organization to deliver new features, work on bug fixes, code reviews and participate in key decisions that drive the business forward and ensure we can provide a performant, stable, and reliable self-service platform where our stakeholders can stay focused on the job they do best leveraging the tools we provide.

• You will build new experiences for the web with TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• You will contribute to designing the patterns of integration and data capture for core business applications ensuring the applications are built in a reliable way and support the continuous growth of the business.
• You will use your creativity to identify and solve for opportunities for automation to ensure the team can stay focused on solving the fun, complex problems.
• You will provide technical integration support for business applications for Marketing, Content Ops, Ad Operations, Finance, Brand, Security & Compliance, Analytics & Reporting and more.
• You will participate in code reviews and discussions that drive the team and the product forward.

• You have at least 3 years of experience building performant React-based apps with TypeScript.
• You are familiar with at least one modern web framework (preferably React).
• You are utilizing AI tools such as Codex or Claude.
• You have experience using SQL and data platforms such as MongoDB or BigQuery to analyze complex datasets and turn them into actionable insights.
• You have experience managing complex state in a web app.
• You are detail-oriented and focused on delivering seamless, high quality applications, efficient data pipelines, and focused on continuous improvement in all things.
• You have some experience building internal tooling focused on marketing technology, content operations, finance or ad operations
• You are kind, humble, helpful and enjoy getting stuff done.
• You are intrinsically motivated, able to manage your time, and enjoy working with a distributed team across the globe.
• You believe in asking for help and in helping others when asked, in assuming ownership on issues until they are fully resolved, and in never simply throwing a problem over a wall.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US and Global geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $170,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, seniority, local currency and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
