Work Location- 80-100% Remote (Austin, Tx, USA)

Position Summary:
We are Seeking a dedicated Web Developer with over 8 years of experience in software product development, digital design, and UX/UI, specializing in creating designs that adhere to user experience best practices and industry standards. With expertise in designing mockups, wireframes, and prototypes using tools like Figma, this professional has led large-scale UX/UI projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, developers, and product managers. They have a proven track record in user and usability research, ensuring that products meet end-user needs through user testing and outreach. With strong communication, writing, and organizational skills, they have also worked with Atlassian Jira for issue tracking and have experience ensuring designs comply with federal accessibility guidelines. Having partnered with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, and collaborated with state education agencies, they bring a comprehensive understanding of both user-centric design and business goals.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following):

• UX/UI designs to ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices
• Translating research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes and collaborating on the future product roadmap
• Employing user testing and outreach to ensure products meets the needs of the end users, in collaboration with partners
• Partnering with the product team and other key stakeholders, including senior leadership, on design solutions and rationales; collaborating with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers
  CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Requirements:
• 8 Years of Experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI or a related field
• 8 Years of Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
• 8 Years ofA portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism
• 8 Years of Experience conducting user and usability research
• 5 Years of Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
• 5 Years of Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
• 4 Years of Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts
• 4 Years of Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
• 3 Years of Experience ensuring designs and website confirm to federal accessibility guidelines
• 3 Years of Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
• 2 Years of Documented experience working for or closely with Texas or another state or local education agency
