Job Description

The Senior Wealth Planner is responsible to identify and develop wealth planning strategies using insurance solutions, finance and credit, trusts, foundations, family offices, companies and other complex structures to address primarily MENA and NRI clients’ wealth planning needs and objectives

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with CROs, clients & prospects to identify their wealth planning needs, objectives and opportunities centred on the wider MENA region
  • Bring, maintain and develop a strong MENA and NRI network of external advisors such as insurance brokers, fiduciaries, corporate service providers, lawyers, accountants, relocation specialists and other similar counterparties
  • Work with internal and external parties to assist in the processing and closure of wealth planning cases across the MENA region
  • Work with EFG Trustees to facilitate the establishment of EFG trust, fund and other fiduciary structures for primarily MENA and NRI clients
  • As a MENA and NRI subject matter expert, conduct awareness training/discussions with CROs on relevant technical product/market updates relevant to the wealth planning space
  • Contribute MENA and NRI content for publications, thought pieces and newsletters generated by the Global Wealth Planning team
  • Work closely with the Head of Wealth Planning for Continental Europe and Middle East on the achieving, monitoring and regularly reporting of financial performance and business development efforts.

Skills and experience
 

  • 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in wealth planning, private banking, insurance/brokerage, trust/fiduciary services, or a law/accounting firm, with a focus on (U)HNW private clients, ideally including MENA and/or NRI markets.
  • University degree in a Legal or Finance related discipline; preferably also holding additional qualifications linked to the area of interest (e.g. TEP, LL.M. in tax, etc.);
  • A demonstrated track record of managing wealth planning business ideally in an insurance / brokerage/private bank/trust company/ law or accounting firm
  • In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience of:
    • (U) HNW insurance solutions and premium financing
    • The uses of wealth planning tools such as trusts, foundations, family office and companies
    • Coordinating, understanding and challenging wider private client needs such as relocation services and legal advice for MENA and NRI

  • Methodical thinker with a proven ability to demonstrate exceptional analytical rigor and a passion for deep research to solve a diverse array of client challenges.
  • Strong communication skills: ability to communicate and advise accomplished high net-worth individuals and present both physically and digitally to private clients and private banking colleagues alike.
  • Strong organisational skills, structured approach, strict adherence to legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Practical experience in creating client-ready proposals and presentations using the suite of Microsoft applications.
  • Languages: excellent command of English is required other MENA/NRI connected languages would be an advantage.

Skills Required

  • Additional professional qualifications (e.g., TEP, LL.M. in tax)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills for HNW clients and private banking colleagues
  • Practical experience creating client-ready proposals and presentations using Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge of MENA/NRI connected languages (advantageous)
