Overview


About the Role -  Instacart is currently seeking a structured and organized individual to play a vital role as Senior Warehouse Operations Specialist. We are looking for an individual with an exceptional track record in the fixed assets warehouse environment, helping set up process and structure in order to maintain more order in a warehouse. You will work with different teams to help ensure we have followed all the process checklist and right documentation for our hardware set up from the moment it arrives to the moment it leaves our warehouse. Our ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, hands-on leader, willing to work alongside the team to achieve goals. 


This role is based in Brantford, Ontario and will require in-person office work at least 4 days a week. This is a three-month fixed term role.


About the Team - The Caper Hardware Deployment Ops team is dedicated to managing the lifecycle of our Caper carts in the US / Canada. We ensure that our hardware undergoes rigorous testing to meet quality standards before being deployed to stores in top notch condition.


About the Job 


Warehouse Responsibilities:

  • Operation Planning – ensure forward looking scheduling of cart shipments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Inventory Control –ensure inventory transactional disciplines are in place to manage the proper movement of goods from order entry, goods receipt, and shipment. Champion, measure, and drive inventory accuracy to achieve goals and targets. Maintain and enhance the cycle count reporting.
  • Operations Reporting – set up a process and reporting cadence for analysis of On Time Delivery, Productivity, Inventory, and all other applicable warehouse reporting activities
  • Equipment – help in defining the process and documentation required for maintenance and support flow

Other Responsibilities:

  • Working with internal departments, communicating with customers, suppliers and transport companies to ensure flow of materials and clear information
  • Collaborate closely with logistics and inventory personnel to guarantee precise preparation and recording of warehouse items for shipment
  • Ensure warehouse personnel have necessary equipment and skills to perform daily work assignments
  • Develop and improve departmental work instructions and documented procedures to utilize existing systems and technology


About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
  • Ability to simultaneously manage projects and day-to-day operations with a sense of urgency and without compromising quality
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to direct production employees in a proactive and positive manner.

  • JHSC Certified
  • Valid Reach truck Operator Certification
