Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales with a proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry and health plan sector. As the SVP of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and success by spearheading the expansion of our pharmaceutical manufacturers and health plan partnerships. You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing sales team, forging strategic alliances, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare industry. Your primary focus will be on promoting CaryHealth's innovative pharmacy services and solutions to pharmaceutical manufacturers and health plans, furthering our mission to revolutionize healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for pharmaceutical manufacturers and health plans, aligning with CaryHealth's overall business objectives and mission.
  • Lead and mentor a skilled sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges, adapting strategies accordingly.

Business Development:

  • Identify and cultivate potential partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and health plans, aiming to establish strong, long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with the executive team and other stakeholders to identify new market opportunities and devise strategies for market expansion.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in pharmaceutical manufacturers and health plans.
  • Understand their unique needs and challenges, and present tailored solutions that align with CaryHealth's capabilities and offerings.

Sales Presentations and Negotiations:

  • Lead and participate in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and contract negotiations with potential partners.
  • Ensure that all sales pitches and proposals effectively communicate CaryHealth's value proposition and differentiate us from competitors.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure seamless implementation of partnerships and the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
  • Provide feedback from the market to inform product development and improvements.

Performance Measurement:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team and track progress regularly.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to the executive team and board of directors.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the life science or payer industries, including demonstrated leadership in managing sales teams.
  • Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong network of contacts and relationships within life science or payer organizations.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, market trends, and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and success.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and revolutionizing the healthcare landscape.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality service

  • Prior experience with managed care organizations, demonstrating a deep understanding of their operational dynamics and decision-making processes.
  • Proven track record of success in SaaS Sales, showcasing expertise in software-as-a-service go-to-market to diverse clientele.
  • Experience in successfully forging strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and health plans, leading to significant business growth.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends and advancements in the pharmaceutical industry, health plan management, and digital healthcare technologies.
  • Strong network and established relationships within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, facilitating effective collaboration and market expansion.
  • Experience in scaling and leading high-performing sales teams, nurturing talent, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
