Senior Vice President, Operations

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Vice President of Operations to lead the operational and financial performance of our multifamily portfolio while developing high-performing teams and advancing our mission-driven culture.

About the Role

The SVP of Operations serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the President, ownership groups, and asset management to drive portfolio performance, maximize asset value, and ensure operational excellence across the organization. This leader will oversee Regional Directors, establish clear accountability, and execute strategies that improve NOI, occupancy, revenue growth, resident experience, and long-term portfolio value.

What You'll Do

• Lead portfolio-wide operational and financial performance across a diverse multifamily portfolio.
• Drive NOI growth, occupancy, revenue optimization, and expense management through disciplined execution and accountability.
• Partner with ownership and asset management to execute business plans and portfolio strategies.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and annual business planning processes.
• Develop and mentor Regional Directors while building a strong leadership bench through succession planning and talent development.
• Lead organizational change initiatives, operational improvements, and scalable processes that enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Foster collaboration across Operations, Facilities, Marketing, Training, HR, and Accounting to achieve company objectives.
• Champion TI Communities' mission by balancing financial performance with resident satisfaction, employee engagement, and community impact.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive multifamily property management leadership experience, including oversight of large portfolios and regional operations.
• Experience overseeing and optimizing workforce housing portfolios, with a strong understanding of resident demographics, affordability challenges, and operational best practices.
• Demonstrated expertise managing communities with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and other affordable housing programs, including regulatory compliance and operational oversight.
• Proven success leading property repositioning initiatives, including value-add renovations, operational turnarounds, lease-up strategies, and performance improvement plans.
• Proven track record of driving financial performance, operational excellence, and team development.
• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to translate ownership objectives into measurable results.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, asset performance, and operational initiatives.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred; industry certifications such as CPM, CAPS, or CAM are highly valued.
