JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE
The Head of Decision Sciences is responsible for leading and shaping the future of our analytics team and AI capabilities ensuring that we remain at the forefront of innovation in the marketing landscape. This role will lead a team that is responsible for applying data science, analytics, and advanced statistical methods to solve complex marketing challenges with a particular focus on leveraging first-party data to drive customer insights and enhance marketing strategies. The Head of Decision Sciences will work closely with clients and internal teams to optimize marketing strategies, enhance campaign performance, and drive data-driven decision-making. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to drive actionable insights that directly impact the positive results for our clients’ business.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead, inspire and foster the professional development of a team of data scientists, analysts, and analytical consultants to deliver innovative solutions in support of our clients’ marketing initiatives.
- Develop and execute the overall decision sciences strategy, aligning with agency goals and client objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (strategy, creative, marketing operations etc.) to ensure data-driven insights are integrated into our client solution for impactful omnichannel strategies and campaigns.
- Advocate for the adoption and advancement of AI-driven tools and technologies across the agency.
- Creating the Future Vision:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement the long-term vision for data sciences, analytics, and AI within the agency, ensuring that it aligns with evolving industry trends and client needs.
- Provide thought leadership in shaping how the agency can best leverage data science and AI to drive future growth and success for both the agency and its clients.
- Experiment with and deploy cutting-edge AI technologies to drive marketing optimization and ROI for our clients.
- Be visible and active member of the data sciences practice within Omnicom
- Lead the development of data-driven decision-making processes for our solutions
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work directly with clients to understand their business objectives, delivering actionable insights that align with their goals.
- Present complex data and AI-driven insights in an easily digestible and strategic manner to clients and the marketplace
- Provide thought leadership to clients, helping them understand the power and potential of AI and analytics to supercharge marketing.
- Team Development & Collaboration:
- Build and scale a high-performing team, nurturing talent, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the continued development of senior DS team members, expanding their strategic consultative abilities, and further developing their exposure to, experience with, and expertise in the application of AI tools & techniques
- Mentor junior team members and promote professional development through training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Foster strong collaboration between decision sciences, strategy, creative, and marketing operations to ensure seamless execution.
- Tool and Technology Selection:
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of analytics tools and platforms that drive efficiency, scale, and sophistication of data-driven decision-making processes.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or decision sciences within a digital marketing, technology, or e-commerce environment.
- Technical Skills: Proven track record of using AI and machine learning techniques to drive business outcomes, preferably in a marketing or advertising context.
- Expertise: Statistical modeling, machine learning, AI, Generative AI and advanced data analytics techniques (e.g., regression analysis, clustering, time series forecasting, etc.). Proficiency with analytics tools and languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.).
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies that drive business outcomes.
Candidates must local to the Irving, TX area and willing to be onsite in our offices 3 days a week.
