The Role

Job Description
The Senior Vice President, Debt Capital Markets will lead platform-level financing strategy and execution across Antares Capital, including BDCs and private funds. This individual will be responsible for optimizing Antares’ cost of capital, expanding funding sources, and managing relationships with banks, institutional investors, and rating agencies.

This role sits at the center of Antares’ capital formation and funding strategy, partnering closely with Product, Treasury, Legal, Investor Relations, and senior leadership. In addition to execution, the role will play a key part in developing and executing a proactive marketing strategy to broaden and deepen relationships across financial institutions and funding partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of Antares corporate debt issuance across BDCs and private funds, including unsecured notes, secured credit facilities, CLOs/ABS, subscription lines, NAV facilities, and other structured financing solutions.
  • Structure and price transactions across secured and unsecured markets, managing the full process from mandate through closing.
  • Manage relationships and processes with investment banks, institutional investors, rating agencies, and external counsel.
  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan targeting financial institutions and capital providers to expand and diversify funding relationships.
  • Proactively originate and cultivate new bank and institutional partnerships to enhance market access and competitive tension.
  • Evaluate and optimize Antares’ funding mix across vehicles to support liquidity planning and long-term balance sheet management.
  • Monitor market conditions, spreads, structural trends, and regulatory developments; provide strategic recommendations on timing, tenor, and pricing.
  • Benchmark Antares’ cost of capital relative to peers and identify opportunities to improve execution and economics.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Treasury, Legal, Investor Relations, and senior leadership to align funding strategy with platform growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of experience in Debt Capital Markets, Financial Institutions/Specialty Finance coverage, structured products, fund financing, leveraged finance, or corporate treasury within asset management.
  • Demonstrated experience executing corporate-level debt issuance, including notes, credit facilities, securitizations, and fund-level leverage structures.
  • Strong understanding of rating agency methodologies (S&P, Moody’s, Fitch) and institutional marketing processes.
  • Experience developing and expanding funding relationships across banks and institutional investors.
  • Familiarity with BDC or asset manager funding structures preferred.
  • Proven execution capability with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate strategically while managing detailed transaction execution in a fast-paced environment.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is comprised of several components, including but not limited to applicant's skill, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and the location of the position.

This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance).

Base Salary Range

$250,000 - $300,000
