Payrails is a dynamic workplace and our design team sits at the core of this landscape. Our mission is to drive a successful intersection between User Experience, Technology and Business. We do this by focusing on 3 main pillars:

  • Understand merchant needs and challenges in their ecosystem

  • Identify simple and meaningful solutions

  • Partner with product and engineering to think holistically about systems and architectures that come together to create pragmatic solutions

Our Design team offers you the opportunity to work alongside a group of highly ambitious and knowledgeable Product Managers and Designers, while being faced with highly complex problems that affect customers on a global scale.

How you will make an impact

  • Plan, Execute and Organize Research: Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative studies (e.g. user interviews, usability tests, surveys, analytics reviews) as well as implementing and managing the user insights repository.

  • Synthesize Insights: Translate raw data into clear user personas, customer journey maps, and research reports that guide product decisions

  • Influence features & priorities: Work with product, design, engineering, and data teams to integrate research findings into feature design and prioritization

  • Advocate for Users: Present research outcomes to stakeholders, champion user-centered decision-making, and help shape our design system and best practices

  • Measure Impact: Define research success metrics, track post-release performance, and iterate on product improvements

What we are looking for

  • 7+ Years of Experience in UX or product research, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments

  • Strong Mixed-Methods Skillset: Proficiency in both qualitative research (interviews, usability testing) and quantitative methods (surveys, analytics)

  • Experience in setting up and scaling research and insights processes to ensure data is used to help drive product and design decisions

  • Excellent Communication: Ability to craft compelling narratives and present findings clearly to diverse audiences

  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams and partnering with designers, PMs, and engineers

  • Pragmatic & Data-Driven: Comfortable using tools like Figma, Dovetail, Optimal Workshop, UserTesting, Amplitude/Google Analytics, and willing to learn new platforms
