The Role
Own end-to-end UX journeys across web and mobile platforms, from problem framing and research through prototypes, specifications, experimentation, and delivery. Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering, lead critique, advocate for accessibility and customer needs, contribute to the Horizon design system, and use AI tools such as Claude to accelerate design workflows while validating all outputs.
Summary Generated by Built In

In this role, you will get to:

Craft Seamless Experiences
  • Design Holistic Journeys: Own an end-to-end journey within [TEAM], across the several teams that touch it, and make it hold together on responsive web, iOS, and Android. You’ll go from problem framing to high-fidelity prototypes and specs, designing the hard parts, not just the happy path.
  • Master the Details: A sharp eye for hierarchy, and a talent for making dense pages feel light. You visibly raise the quality bar in your area, and you know when breaking a pattern is the right call and can defend it.
  • Pioneer AI-Powered Workflows: Use AI tools (we use Claude) throughout your process so your throughput is genuinely different: a testable prototype in hours rather than a sprint. Check everything it gives you, and own every final UX decision you ship.
Collaborate & Influence
  • Be the Connective Tissue: Turn a vague request into a clear problem, and get Product and Engineering agreed on it before you start designing. You’ll know which constraints are real and which are assumed, and bring Engineering in early enough to shape the work.
  • Champion Quality: Run critique that makes other people’s work stronger, not just different, and hold the bar from concept through final build. You’ll sort out disagreements between Product and Engineering rather than waiting for someone else to.
Listen to the Traveler
  • Uncover Insights: Write the research plan for your area and partner with our researchers as a peer rather than filing a request. You’ll read the numbers and the interviews together as a pair.
  • Advocate for the User: Turn research findings into meaningful product changes, ensuring the "voice of the customer" is the loudest voice in the room. You’ll decide what a traveler needs to know and when, and cut the copy that serves the business rather than the customer.
Scale the Vision
  • Evolve the System: Contribute patterns to Horizon properly, with their states, variants, accessibility notes, and reasoning, and then get other teams actually using them. So every team can build faster on shared standards.
  • Iterate with Data: Help design the test, not just the screen in it. You’ll bring the hypothesis, the metric that should move, the metric that mustn’t get worse, and what result would make you drop the idea.

Who you are:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in Product/UX design, with a portfolio that shows end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-step digital products, including at least one project where AI was materially part of how you worked.
  • Hands-on with modern AI workflows: You use AI across your design lifecycle and can show us where, in the files: what you generated, what you overrode, and one thing it got plausibly wrong that you caught.
  • Comfortable Being Measured: You’re at home in an experimentation culture. You form a hypothesis before you ship, you know what a guardrail metric is for, and you’d rather be proven wrong in two weeks than go unchallenged for a year.
  • Problem-Framing Over Problem-Solving: You don’t just design screens; you decide which problem is worth designing for, get your partners aligned on it, and turn down work that won’t change anything.
  • Influence Without Authority: You change minds by building the demo, bringing the proof, and picking the moment. You can lose an argument without sulking and come back with better evidence.
  • Accessibility and Real-World Design: You design for edge cases as a matter of course: screen readers, low connectivity, high-stress travel. You catch accessibility problems in other people’s work during critique.
  • Systems Thinking in Figma: Deeply fluent in Figma, thinking natively in tokens, variants, and component architecture so design decisions scale across platforms.
  • Distributed by Default: You work well with partners in other offices and time zones, write things down, and keep a problem moving without needing everyone in the room.
  • You are a relentless advocate for the customer, ensuring their needs shape our product delivery.
  • Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust
  • The Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life.
