About the Company

At Rezilient, we're redefining what primary care looks like, making it more accessible, seamless, and patient-centered than ever before. Through our innovative CloudClinic model, we combine virtual provider visits with smart, tech-enabled infrastructure to deliver timely, personalized care. By removing traditional barriers to access and continuously expanding our specialty offerings, we're building a healthcare experience that's as convenient as it is comprehensive. We are a Series B company, which means the work is real, the pace is fast, and the design decisions you make now become the patterns we scale on.

About the Role

Rezilient is seeking a Senior UX Designer to help build a member app people love coming back to. As we extend care beyond the clinic, you'll shape how members understand their health, connect with their care team, and take useful next steps between visits.

This is a hands-on individual-contributor role spanning research, interaction and visual design, prototyping, and iteration after launch. Your initial focus will be the member-facing mobile experience. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical Operations, and Growth to create a coherent experience across the app and the care it connects members to. Care-team workflow improvements will be prioritized alongside member-facing work, rather than treated as a separate, unlimited mandate.

AI will be an important part of what you design, but not the answer to every problem. You'll help determine when AI makes an interaction more useful and when a simpler approach is better. Where AI is involved, you'll design for transparency, user control, appropriate human review, and recovery when something goes wrong.

Our ideal candidate brings deep consumer mobile experience, strong interaction and visual design skills, and a record of improving products after launch. You care about the details of the shipped experience, learn directly from users, and can explain how your work helped people accomplish something that matters to them.

What You'll Design
  • The member mobile experience: Onboarding, access to care, navigation, communication, and between-visit engagement that feel coherent, useful, and easy to return to.
  • Health and wearable data experiences: Clear ways for members to connect devices, understand relevant health information, and identify useful next steps without being overwhelmed by data.
  • Member-facing AI experiences: Assistance with intake, care navigation, education, and follow-up, with clear boundaries and a straightforward handoff to a person when needed.
  • Connections to the care team: Member-to-care-team handoffs and supporting workflows that keep the digital experience connected to how care is delivered.
  • Efficient clinical workflows: Intuitive experiences for medics, providers, and care navigators across visit preparation, encounters, documentation, orders, and referrals, designed to reduce repetitive work and context switching so care teams can focus on members.
  • Care-team coordination: Clear task queues, messaging, and handoffs that make ownership, priority, and next steps visible across virtual and CloudClinic care, helping teams move work forward without losing clinical context.
  • Innovative AI-assisted care delivery: New ways to summarize relevant information, draft documentation, and support follow-up, designed and tested with care teams, with appropriate clinician review, easy correction, and clear accountability.
  • Trust, control, and recovery: Consent and permission flows, review and correction, understandable explanations, and recovery when information is incomplete or a system is wrong, slow, or unavailable.
  • Reusable mobile patterns: Accessible components and interaction patterns, including loading, empty, error, and success states, that maintain a consistent quality bar as the product grows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end member experience design: Take priority journeys from discovery and workflow mapping through prototypes, production-ready designs, implementation review, and post-launch iteration.
  • Partner in product discovery: Work closely with the Product Manager and mobile engineering lead to define problems, explore alternatives, and make informed tradeoffs before committing to a solution.
  • Deliver a high standard of craft: Create polished interaction and visual designs with clear information hierarchy, thoughtful content, and platform-appropriate mobile patterns. Partner with Engineering through design QA so the shipped experience meets the intended quality bar.
  • Learn directly from users: Run practical interviews, concept tests, and usability sessions with members and, where relevant, medics, providers, and care navigators. Combine those findings with product data to challenge assumptions and guide iteration.
  • Accelerate product and design cycles with AI: Rethink traditional research, synthesis, prototyping, and validation workflows using AI to test more ideas, reach evidence-backed decisions faster, and shorten the path from problem to shipped experience. Demonstrate measurable improvements in cycle time while preserving research integrity, privacy, and design quality.
  • Build realistic prototypes: Use Figma and approved prototyping tools to test interactions before implementation. For AI-powered flows, explore representative model outputs and failure cases rather than relying only on idealized mockups.
  • Develop reusable design foundations: Define and document components, patterns, and guidance with Engineering so quality and consistency scale beyond individual features.
  • Connect design to member outcomes: Partner with Product and Engineering to evaluate onboarding success, task completion, comprehension, satisfaction, and meaningful repeat engagement. Use AI acceptance, correction, and override behavior as additional diagnostic signals, not substitutes for a useful member experience.
  • Design responsibly: Work with Clinical Operations, Quality, and Compliance to translate agreed safety expectations into clear review, consent, escalation, and recovery flows. Use approved tools and appropriately protected or synthetic data for research and prototyping.
  • Support focused delivery: Participate in planning, backlog refinement, and delivery rituals, keeping design work well-scoped and aligned with product priorities. Establish practical design review and learning habits without adding unnecessary process.

RequirementsRequired Qualifications
  • Senior-level design experience: 5+ years in UX, product design, or interaction design in a high-growth, technology-enabled environment, with a record of taking work from an unclear problem through launch and iteration.
  • Deep consumer mobile experience: Experience designing and shipping a consumer health, wellness, or fitness app used by a substantial active user base. You can explain the audience, scale, your contribution, and what changed as the product grew.
  • Strong interaction and visual design: A portfolio showing excellent craft and shipped mobile experiences, with a clear account of the problem, research, tradeoffs, and results. Anonymized examples and directional results are welcome when work is confidential.
  • Research and evaluation skills: Experience learning directly from users and combining qualitative findings with product data to make and test design decisions.
  • Mobile and accessibility fundamentals: Familiarity with iOS and Android interaction patterns and the ability to design for people with different abilities, levels of health literacy, and comfort with technology.
  • Prototyping and systems skills: Strong proficiency in Figma, including component-based design, interactive prototyping, design systems, and clear communication of behavior and intent to engineers.
  • Sound AI design judgment: An understanding of uncertainty, disclosure, review and correction, permissions, and human handoff. You can reason about failure cases and avoid creating unwarranted trust in an automated response.
  • Thoughtful use of AI tools: Fluency with AI-enabled design, research, and productivity tools, and the judgment to know where they help and where direct human research and review remain necessary.
  • Cross-functional ownership: Proven ability to partner closely with Product and Engineering on a small team where priorities evolve and designers are expected to remain hands-on.
  • Systems thinking and communication: The ability to simplify complex journeys, explain design rationale, facilitate tradeoff discussions, and incorporate clinical, technical, and business feedback without losing sight of member needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Shipped AI-powered features: Experience bringing AI interactions to real users, including evaluating quality, handling errors, and learning after release.
  • High-trust products: Experience in care delivery or another regulated environment where privacy, clarity, and safety influence design decisions.
  • Sustained engagement: Experience helping people build useful habits or follow through on health goals without relying on unnecessary notifications or manipulative patterns.
  • Connected health experiences: Work with wearable or device data, personalized health information, or experiences spanning an app and a human care team.
  • Clinical workflow familiarity: Experience with documentation, referrals, care-team tasks, or patient-provider messaging, and familiarity with clinical data standards such as FHIR or HL7.
  • Early-stage design practice: Experience establishing practical design foundations and research habits on a small team while continuing to deliver hands-on product work.
