We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to help grow our business and contribute to our future.   

The Senior UI/UX Designer will be a central part of shaping the ongoing changes to the company’s products and work to optimize the user experience in the solutions that are developed. This position will afford the opportunity to transition the technology solution as it is now over to a sharp user centric application. 

Major Activities:                                                                                                               

The position works independently with limited supervision and includes, but will not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for entire product areas encompassing multiple features, workflows and new areas of exploration or pivots. 
  • Act as a leader within the Product Design team, collaborating with other designers to enhance the work of the team and guide others working on the product.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
  • Drive and assess design solutions based on user research input, user goals, and business requirements
  • Contribute to and help evolve design systems, patterns, and best practices
  • Ensure designs meet usability, accessibility (WCAG), and brand standards
  • Educate team members and stakeholders on usability practices and considerations
  • Partner closely and constructively with product management and engineers to understand technology capabilities, build outstanding designs and achieve high product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Facilitate and evolve the product vision through user research, ideation, prototyping, and usability testing
  • Develop relevant ideas into concrete design proposals to share with product and management teams for future consideration
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams
  • Being the voice of the user on your team, ensuring that the products we deliver solve the right problems for our users in the right ways.
  • Mentor more junior UI / UX Design team members.
  • Evangelize design best practices

Knowledge:                                                                                                                        

The UI/UX Designer will be a creative self-starter who is committed to delivering a great UI/UX experience and understands that the smallest changes can make the biggest difference.

  • 5+ years’ experience in user experience design, interface design, interaction design, information architecture, or other related disciplines
  • Experience designing for mobile devices would be an asset
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools to create beautiful high-fidelity mockups of your designs using Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.
  • Ability to adapt designs across platforms and form factors with an understanding of the opportunities with and limitations of different platforms and form factors
  • Aware of trends in mobile, communications, and collaboration
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a strong aptitude for translating requirements into visual concepts
  • Broad knowledge of capabilities, best practices, and limitations of Web technologies such as CSS, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and JQuery
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team working in unison with other designers
