Lead/Senior AWS Serverless Engineer

As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for a Backend Engineer to help improve our platform and expand the services we offer.

As a Backend Engineer at Ockto, you’ll help develop and evolve the cloud-native SaaS platform behind our secure data-sharing services.

Working with TypeScript and .NET in a public-cloud environment, you’ll solve meaningful technical challenges and contribute to decisions that shape our platform. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from different disciplines while taking ownership of your work from idea through delivery.

Who you are:

• You are committed towards continuous delivery and DevOps.

• You are a fast learner who likes to think outside of the box.

• You have a flexible mindset, and natural curiosity that allows you to learn quickly about new technologies.

• You are someone who loves to develop clean and efficient code with the help of the latest AI tooling.

• You can identify and resolve bottlenecks in the Ockto backend, rectifying bugs and enhancing application performance.

• You always implements and maintains unit tests on code.

• You stay up-to-date with new technology trends, libraries, applications, and protocols

• You have an engineering mentality in an architect’s mind

• You enjoy coaching more junior members of an engineering team

• You are able to manage application delivery cycles and follow structured processes

• You are fluent in English and (eager to learn) Dutch.

What are we looking for?

• A relevant bachelor’s degree.

• Multiple years experience as a TypeScript backend engineer.

• Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly in Serverless methodologies.

• An excellent understanding of architecting principles and software design patterns.

• An excellent understanding of data- and software security.

• Demonstrably strong results in a Kanban-like working environment.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and initiative.

• Great communication skills.

• Already living in the Netherlands (hybrid role)

Will be a plus

• A relevant master’s degree.

• Expertise in the financial services domain
