Senior Treasurer
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Treasurer to join our Finance team in Athens. Reporting to the Treasury Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing organization's treasury aspects, including risk management, cash management, investment decisions, and financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily cash positions across all entities, accounts, and banking partners.
- Own cash flow visibility, including short- and med-term forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Active participation in the budget process and annual audits.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts and cash-related balances (high-level ownership, not purely transactional).
- Oversee and validate cash movements, settlements, and treasury operations across the organization.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end treasury processes with a strong focus on automation and scalability.
- Develop and maintain treasury controls, and documentation to ensure strong governance and compliance.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting for cash monitoring and decision-making.
- Optimize liquidity allocation across banks and accounts.
- Manage relationships with banking partners and resolve operational issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management, or Payments, preferably within a corporate environment
- Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor (hands-on, no reliance on a large team)
- Strong understanding of cashflow management, liquidity monitoring, and operational treasury
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Hands-on experience with treasury systems, ERP platforms, or reconciliation tools (e.g., SAP, TMS, etc.)
- Advanced Excel and presentation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and verbal
