At our office in Søborg, you will join our Supply Chain department, where we are 5 colleagues working together to ensure all logistics and shipping tasks are interconnected, from various numbers of global workshops, warehouses and sub-suppliers – and to the final delivery to the customer. Responsibilities / Tasks
As a Senior Transport Manager at GEA, you will be responsible for contributing your professional project expertise across all types of transport and logistics tasks. This includes providing input for sales offers and contracts, handling letters of credit and Incoterms, planning the supply chain, and executing project processes.
More specifically, you will:
- Ensure timely shipment of components, and manage transport arrangements efficiently, including procurement, shipping documentation, and coordination with suppliers and forwarding agents to optimize cost-effective transport solutions
- Monitor project logistics and provide reports
- Handle any transport-related issues, including damage claims and troubleshooting
- Conduct weekly reports to Project Manager with following up on all logistics costs (budget vs actual), on-track, delivery, troubleshooting, evaluation
- Be pro-active during project execution and participate in status meetings, kick-off meetings etc.
Your Profile / Qualifications
You thrive in a dynamic environment and keep a cool head, even when the pace is high, and the tasks are plenty. With a structured approach and a natural sense of overview, you handle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus. At the same time, you are a bit of an IT wizard who prefers digital solutions and works efficiently with systems and processes. Additionally, you excel at working both independently and as part of a team.
We imagine that you bring:
- Proven knowledge and experience in project execution from the industrial business
- Expert in project transports (also oversized), Incoterms, letter of credit, rules of origin, VAT and duty etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills
- Fluency in Danish and English
- A proactive approach to project execution and continuous, constructive communication with stakeholders
