What this job involves
Our Transaction Management team helps clients strategize, evaluate and execute real estate transactions to meet their business needs. Our Senior Transaction Manager will manage a comprehensive retail governance program, focusing on client relationship management and cross-functional collaboration across multiple facility partners.
The ideal candidate acts proactively, thinks strategically, embraces automation, and creates strong client trust through meticulous attention to detail. This role demands an authentic leadership style that transforms operational challenges into strategic opportunities and delivers measurable improvements in efficiency and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Governance Management
Serve as trusted advisor and primary point of contact for strategic client relationships
Oversee retail governance framework ensuring compliance with client standards
Facilitate regular client meetings and reporting on client-established cadence
Transform client concerns into opportunities for program enhancement
Drive operational transformation by consolidating systems, streamlining workflows, and reducing complexity
Lead initiatives to optimize site decision processes across large portfolios (1,000+ sites)
Produce governance reports documenting compliance, exceptions, and recommendations
Respond to ad hoc client requests and manage retail-related initiatives as they arise
Transaction Execution
Collect client requirements, obtain market data, and partner with real estate professionals nationally
Prepare approval packages and financial analysis to enable strategic decision-making
Monitor transaction progress and ensure high data integrity across all systems
Implement automated deal risk assessment processes
Coordinate complex, high-volume site decisions with precision and timeliness
Technology & Process Innovation
Champion automation initiatives and migrate workflows from manual trackers to integrated systems (e.g., CREM)
Build customized reports, dashboards and analytics for governance program management
Drive simplification through automation and elimination of redundant processes
Reduce meeting times and administrative burden through process optimization
Leadership & Collaboration

Partner effectively with internal JLL teams, client organizations, and external stakeholders
Coach and develop team members on best practices

Qualifications
Required
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required
5-10 years of real estate experience with at least 4-6 years in transaction management
Retail real estate experience strongly preferred
Track record of operational transformation and managing large-scale portfolios (1,000+ sites preferred)
Technical Expertise
Proven transaction management, contract review, and lease negotiation skills
Experience developing and managing governance frameworks
Proficiency in transaction management systems (CREM experience highly preferred)
Advanced expertise in process consolidation, workflow optimization, and system migration
Ability to design and implement automated solutions

Estimated compensation for this position:
95,000.00 – 105,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
