The Position
The purpose of the Senior Total Rewards Operations Partner is to design and implement the organization's compensation programs, manage benefit processes, analyze and evaluate external and internal market data and provide guidance to HR partners on compensation policy application. This role supports the organization's compensation programs & activities so that they meet the organization's objectives regarding internal equity & external market competitiveness. These programs may include job leveling and administering short-term & long-term incentive plans. Additionally, the role involves supporting merger and acquisition activities, including the integration of newly acquired assets and companies.
Relationships
This job reports to the Manager, North America Rewards, and has a dotted line into the Benefits organization. Partners with key internal and external stakeholders to accomplish business objectives.
Essential Functions
- Design and Implement Compensation Programs
- Develop and execute compensation strategies that align with organizational objectives and market competitiveness
- Collaborate with functional managers to tailor compensation plans to meet local business needs while maintaining consistency with overall strategy
- Evaluates jobs for placement in the global & local pay structure through review of new/revised job descriptions, collecting & analyzing external market data, & reviewing similar positions internally to ensure internal equity
- Analyze Market and Internal Data
- Conduct thorough analysis of external market data and internal employee data to inform compensation and benefits strategies
- Provide insights and recommendations to HR partners based on data analysis
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise and Guidance
- Serve as a specialist in compensation processes, offering guidance to HR partners and business leaders
- Provides advice & counsel to HRBPs & management on compensation, including development of job descriptions & job families; provide counsel & direction relative to promotion increases, internal transfers & new hire offers
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Support Merger and Acquisition Activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and integrate compensation and benefits programs during mergers and acquisitions
- Analyze and align compensation structures to ensure consistency and competitiveness post-acquisition
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on compensation and benefits-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions
- Measure benefit vendor services and activities against contract and performance measurements; identify trends
- Assist with timely funding of various programs and financial tracking. Works closely with vendors and Payroll to ensure accuracy and explanation of any variances/adjustments
- Support NA Associate Benefits Director in implementation of benefit, process, and system changes, including post-implementation audits
- Help ensure benefit plan compliance with government regulations
- Support key ad-hoc deliverables as needed
Physical Requirements
The Senior Total Rewards Operations Partner position may require up to 10% travel, including international travel.
This is a hybrid role, requiring up to 3 days per week onsite in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent education with 4+ years of applicable experience required; relevant experience may be substituted for degree, when appropriate
- A minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in HR or related industry with at least four years of compensation experience preferred
- General Qualifications
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in compensation programs required
- Experience designing and implementing effective compensation strategies aligned with organizational objectives preferred
- Demonstrated experience analyzing market data to inform compensation strategies preferred
- Operate independently with minimal guidance, seeking advice on complex issues when necessary required
- Previous administration experience with self-insured medical, 401(k) and/or short- and long-term disability plans preferred
- Large corporation (1000+ employees) experience preferred
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving required
- Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute and follow-up in a timely manner required
- Proven ability to work across functional areas with all levels of stakeholders both locally and globally
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skill required
- Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet challenging and changing deadlines required
