Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:• Oversee and guides tooling improvement modifications with team• Utilize toolmakers and team leaders to assist or complete critical tooling through TRN process• Manage, monitor and analyse key tasks, activities and cost through the multiple phases of the tool modification process• Outline timing, monitor and report (monthly) all activities (internal and external)• Total program costs/budgets• Creates tooling PFMEA's on all new projects• Disposition of obsolete tooling with OEM's• Manage Open issues (tooling related - departmental / TRN's )• Meeting report outs• Coordination of cross-functional team responsibilities (internally and externally) for tooling issues.• Involvement in customer negotiations• Manage spare component acquisitions for all new tooling projects• Assist in Departmental Process Changes• Maintain / monitor all electronic tooling records. Provides directions to other tooling specialists• Provide toolmakers with drawings• Meet or exceed budget and improve contribution margin• Utilise Company and Customer Timing Plans, Time/Resource Activity Plans• Provide guidance to Management in all Program tooling related decisions.• Assist in ensuring spares are set to correct minimum/maximum levels at the beginning of all new programs.• Assist in set up of PM for tooling• Maintain a confidential and professional demeanour at all times• Work in a safe manner at all times including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).• Abide by company rules and policies as set out in the Employee Handbook• Meet all customer commitments and all customer milestones• Update Lessons Learned database• Provide direction on current production tooling to help resolve issues.• Perform other duties as required
Salary Range:
$95,000 - $105,000
