We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Texture Artist to join our Texture Art team. The Senior Texture Artist will be responsible for creating visually stunning, high-quality textures and materials that bring our worlds and characters to life. You will collaborate closely with environment, character, and lighting artists, as well as technical teams, to deliver textures that are both aesthetically compelling and performance-optimized in Unreal Engine 5.
Responsibilities- Create photorealistic textures for environments, props, and characters using Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Photoshop, and related tools
- Develop material libraries, shader population, and texture workflows that maintain consistency across large-scale AAA projects
- Collaborate with environment and lighting artists to ensure textures integrate seamlessly with models and scenes in Unreal Engine 5
- Optimize textures and materials for performance while maintaining a high visual bar
- Mentor and guide junior texture artists, providing feedback and best practices
- Work with the Art Director and lead artists to define and uphold the project’s visual style and texture quality standards
- Contribute to texturing pipelines, PBR workflows, and emerging tools/tech
- Playtest with the studio, design, and art teams to iterate based on playtest feedback and player experience
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Texture Artist in the video game industry, preferably on AAA titles
- A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality texture and material work across a range of asset types
- Advanced proficiency with Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Maya, and Photoshop
- Strong understanding of PBR workflows, UV layout, and material authoring for real-time rendering
- Experience implementing and optimizing textures in Unreal Engine 5
- Experience with procedural texturing, tiling workflows, and trim sheets
- Familiarity with ZBrush or other sculpting software for texture baking
- Knowledge of shader networks and node-based material creation in Unreal Engine
- Excellent eye for detail, color, material definition, and storytelling through texture
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving pipelines
- Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team environment

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $105,000 - $150,000 USD
