Job Description
See what you're missing. Our employees work on the world's most advanced electronics - from detecting threats for F-35 pilots to illuminating the night for soldiers. Spanning air, land, sea, and space, we are developing the technology of tomorrow, delivered today. Drawing strength from our differences, we're innovating for the future. And you can, too. Our flexible work environment provides you a chance to change the world without giving up your personal life. We put our customers first - exemplified by our mission: "We Protect Those Who Protect Us®." Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come build your career with BAE Systems.
BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Test Engineer for our Integrated Test Engineering (ITE). The ITE organization's mission is to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions which are integrated across all levels of production test. Experience the entire life cycle of a program to include bid and proposal, advanced development and demonstration, test design and development, product fielding, procurement, and sustainment.
Are you an experienced Electrical, Software or Test Design Engineer with 8+ years of experience looking for the next step to grow your career? Do you want to design and develop test solutions and/or write test software that is mission critical and be a part of a greater cause? Then, help us protect those that protect us by developing the Next Generation Electronic Warfare Systems Products and Solutions. We need your talent, motivation, and vision to join our New Hampshire based team. BAE Systems has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. We have multiple positions in Southern New Hampshire (our locations include Nashua, Hudson, Merrimack, and Manchester).
The selected candidate will be part of a test engineering team throughout the product lifecycle and you will motivate and inspire the engineering team across geographical boundaries to achieve more than they believe is possible! When you become a member of our team, you will work across multiple disciplines and collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Operations, Production, and Test Engineers to impact all phases of the Product Development and sustainment Lifecycle. At BAE Systems, we promote a strong, collaborative culture and provide our employees with the tools, skills and training they need to succeed. We are all about trust, camaraderie, and a shared ambition to lead the world in defense technologies and national security services. We offer a flexible work environment and 9/80 work schedule. Our company is part of the community and driven to improve our future and protect our freedom.
The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter, able to complete assignments with little oversight while being available as a subject matter expert and technical lead to their team. They must be able to assume a full or partial lead role as circumstances dictate and be able to quickly and dynamically switch focus to accommodate the daily activities of an engineering team supporting a production environment. This individual should be comfortable providing accurate technical status to program management or direction to individual contributors as part of their job function, as well as interfacing with other engineering disciplines as necessary. The Test Engineer should have a strong background in Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, debugging, integrating, and deploying complex automated test systems, test applications, documentation, and Commercial Instrumentation for testing Military Comms, Navigation, and Electronic Warfare equipment.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
