What you'll do:
- Transferrable knowledge / skillset to become adept / proficient in all defined specialized test methods from both an engineering and equipment operation perspective – specialized testing includes complexity or hazard introduction for design verification purposes (low voltage, high voltage, high stored energy, etc.)
- Capability to mobilize entire test methods based on innovative technologies
- Proficient at technical procedure writing – format clean & concise templates for iteration and version control
- Adept at project risk analysis to establish trade-offs for test schedule gains without compromising safety and quality
- Diligence (attention to detail) – thorough analysis of preliminary and final design reviews to identify opportunities / develop strategies for risk buy down via test methods
- Exemplifies correct behaviors to establish a safety-conscience work environment & self-improving culture / learning organization – evident in test product development
- Generate test procedures / instructions to ensure understanding of scope and identify & mitigate potential risks within both the engineering and technician teams
- Incorporate test performance and safety standards into test products - pre-job briefs, procedural place keeping, procedural use and adherence, conservative bias, diligent monitoring of critical parameters, correct data capture, etc.
- Process and action team feedback following test execution to leverage lessons learned, prevent error recurrence and optimize flow for ease of technician execution when deemed prudent

What We Do
Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) has the fastest, lowest cost path to commercial fusion energy. CFS is collaborating with MIT to leverage decades of research combined with new groundbreaking high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology. HTS magnets will enable compact fusion power plants that can be constructed faster and at lower cost. CFS is now building SPARC, the world's first commercially relevant, net energy fusion demonstration device. SPARC will pave the way for the first fusion power plant, ARC, that will produce power on the grid. The ultimate mission is to deploy fusion power plants to meet global decarbonization goals as fast as possible. CFS has assembled a team of leaders in tough tech, fusion science, and manufacturing with a track record of rapid execution. Supported by the world’s leading investors, CFS is uniquely positioned to deliver limitless, clean, fusion power to combat climate change.
