Today, Delio works with more than 50 organisations in 18 countries, including market-leading organisations such as Barclays, Coutts and The Earthshot Prize.

Our white-label, AI-powered operating system (Delio Core OS) leverages configurable, low-code tools and modules to commoditise the technologies and workflows needed to deliver a market-leading digital client experience. Job Description

At Delio, we are transforming the private markets. We provide the financial technology and infrastructure that connects the world’s most prestigious financial institutions with the private investment opportunities of tomorrow. Based in Cardiff, we are a fast-growing scale-up looking for a Senior TechOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and observability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure as Code: Design, build, and maintain our AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt. You will drive the standards for state management and modular architecture.

  • Advanced Observability: Architect and maintain a comprehensive monitoring stack. You will configure Prometheus for metrics, visualise data in Grafana, and standardise distributed tracing across our services using OpenTelemetry.

  • Global Networking: Implement and manage traffic management strategies using AWS Global Accelerator to ensure low-latency performance for our global client base.

  • Orchestration: Manage and scale our Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, ensuring high availability and resource optimization.

  • CI/CD Automation: Optimise our build and deploy pipelines using GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy, moving us toward continuous delivery.

  • Application Health: Own the implementation of Sentry for real-time error tracking and performance monitoring across our Golang, PHP, and Node.js applications.

  • Security & Secrets: Own the secrets management lifecycle using HashiCorp Vault, ensuring we adhere to the strict security standards required in FinTech.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Cloud Expert: Deep professional experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, EKS, RDS, IAM).

  • Observability Stack: Strong hands-on experience with Prometheus (PromQL) and Grafana. You understand the difference between logging, metrics, and tracing.

  • IaC Mastery: Strong proficiency with Terraform and specifically Terragrunt for managing complex environments.

  • Container Orchestration: Extensive experience managing production Kubernetes clusters (Helm charts, ingress controllers, auto-scaling).

  • CI/CD: Proven experience building pipelines such as GitHub CI and Octopus Deploy.

  • Language Familiarity: Ability to read and debug code in at least one of our core languages: Golang, PHP, or Node.js.

Desirable Requirements

  • Global Accelerator: Hands-on experience implementing AWS Global Accelerator for multi-region resilience and latency optimization. This is a key differentiator for this role.

  • OpenTelemetry: Experience implementing OpenTelemetry collectors and instrumentation libraries to standardise traces.

  • FinTech Experience: Understanding of the regulatory and security constraints within financial services (SOC2, ISO27001).
