Key Responsibilities:
- Create, edit and publish documentation for code, release notes, content creation pipelines and user facing products.
- Define and drive technical content plans and evaluate and select platform solutions for content delivery to internal and external users.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, UX designers and field support engineers to gather and validate technical information.
- Be a stakeholder in the style guide that drives consistent visual and functional documentation standards across products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical writer, product manager, engineering, developer relations, solutions architect, or field/support engineering background.
- Strong understanding of Technical Writing principles that you can demonstrate through past writing samples.
- Strong knowledge of content development cycles, documentation best practices and tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics in a simplified manner.
- Great listener and designer who knows how to guide cross-functional stakeholders to success.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and convey changes in priorities and expected delivery schedule to partner teams.
- Ability to work with export-controlled technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with designing and leading content strategy projects across organizations.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Experience using LLMs such as Chat GPT to expand and polish documentation.
- Experience with technical writing for map-making and geospatial tools pipelines, or 3D content creation pipelines.
