Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong Java development background to lead and manage large-scale enterprise application initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience running Agile/Scrum ceremonies, driving cross-functional teams, and providing hands-on technical leadership in Java-based systems. This role requires a blend of project management expertise, Agile/Scrum leadership, and deep technical understanding to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of complex software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for Java-based enterprise applications.
- Works as a Technical Project Manager to run Scrum of Scrum calls
- Act as Scrum Master, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Work closely with Product Owners to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate with development, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to development teams on Java architecture and best practices.
- Track sprint progress, velocity, and KPIs using Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership and clients.
- Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks proactively.
- Support production releases, post-release reviews, and continuous optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 15+ years of overall IT experience with strong project/program management exposure.
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager and Scrum Master.
- Strong hands-on or architectural experience in Java / J2EE.
Solid understanding of:
- Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
- SOAP and RESTful APIs
- SQL & NoSQL databases
- Data Bricks and ETLs
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proficiency with Agile tools: JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing distributed and offshore teams.
