Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end execution of technical programs from initiation to delivery.
Manage the R&D, NPI and manufacture activities to meet the customer target spec and delivery time schedule.
Define program scope, goals, success metrics, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Create and manage detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure accountability across all teams.
Maintain cost models and drive organizations to improve them.
Interface with customers and lead such engagements, including presentations and issue resolution.
Communicate program status, risks, and milestones clearly to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and execution efficiency.
Education & Experience
Advanced degree in optical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or other opto-electronic discipline.
15+ years in technical program management or product line management
Skills
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent formal and informal communications skills, including written and oral discussions
Ability to function effectively in both technical and business environments.
Able to function in English. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus.
Working Conditions
This position is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA
May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive's needs
Physical Requirements
Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
Safety Requirements

Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently. They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
