Join us as we reinvent work, so people everywhere can do their best work.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically grounded Lead Software Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead initiatives spanning AI application development and platform functionality. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, enabling the deployment of large language models (LLMs) and multimodal systems across cloud and edge (on-device) environments. It’s an ideal role for someone with a strong engineering mindset who thrives in fast-evolving technical landscapes and wants to shape the future of intelligent products.

You may come from a software or systems engineering background and be transitioning into product or program management, or you may already be an EPM with deep technical fluency in AI and platform systems. Either way, curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to learn are essential.

What You Might Do

  • Own the full lifecycle of AI platform initiatives—scoping, planning, execution, and delivery—ensuring alignment with strategic goals and engineering excellence.
  • Drive the deployment of LLMs and multimodal models (voice, vision, text), focusing on performance, scalability, and seamless integration across cloud and edge environments.
  • Collaborate with engineers to optimize AI inference on-device, emphasizing hardware acceleration, quantization, and deep system integration across GPU stacks, OS, firmware, and runtime environments.
  • Orchestrate efforts to fine-tune foundation models for domain-specific use cases (e.g., intelligent assistants, automation), balancing quality, latency, and responsiveness.
  • Partner closely with AI researchers, ML engineers, software developers, and product managers to define technical requirements and drive cross-functional execution.
  • Navigate shifting priorities by balancing long-term platform investments with rapid delivery of impactful user-facing features.
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to improve model orchestration, workflow automation, and system performance across the AI stack.
  • Build strong relationships with partner teams across engineering, product, research, and design to align goals and deliver against key milestones.
  • Foster a culture of trust, clarity, and shared ownership. Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field—or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years in technical program management, software engineering, or product/program roles supporting AI platforms or applications.
  • Practical knowledge of LLMs, ML deployment workflows, and applied AI best practices—especially around key performance metrics (latency, throughput, quality).
  • Experience deploying LLMs in resource-constrained environments (e.g., edge/on-device), including techniques such as quantization, pruning, and inference optimization.
  • Strong foundation in software product development, with full-stack systems understanding from cloud services to on-device components.
  • Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and project tracking tools, with a proven track record of driving cross-functional programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to simplify complex concepts and drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, a bias for action, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with hardware-accelerated inference frameworks such as TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, Core ML, or custom inference engines.
  • Hands-on experience working with voice, visual, and text-based AI systems.
  • Comfort working at the interface between core platform development and end-user application functionality.
  • Demonstrated success in launching and scaling AI-powered products or platform capabilities.
  • Understanding of system architecture across GPU pipelines, operating systems, firmware, and cloud integration layers.

Salary: $210,000- $260,000
