Are you passionate about crafting joy and shaping the technology behind a game played by millions? We're looking for a Senior Technical Manager to join our Angry Birds Dream Blast team! This is a great opportunity to own and guide the technical development of one of our beloved live games, ensuring its quality and performance for years to come. In this role you’ll blend your technical leadership, people management, and hands-on development skills to make a significant impact on the game and your team.

You will report to the Senior Tech Director for our Puzzle studio. This role can be based in Espoo, Finland or in our Barcelona studio and we are able to support a work permit if needed but are not able to provide relocation support for this role.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

  • Guiding the technical roadmap for Angry Birds Dream Blast, ensuring our code is scalable and high-quality.
  • Collaborating with your team to design and build high-impact game features, steering them through complex technical terrain with clarity and support.
  • Supervising a team of developers and supporting their growth through empathetic leadership, mentorship, and honest feedback.
  • Championing the overall technical quality of the game, ensuring it remains healthy and performant in the live environment for our players.
  • Fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring engineering best practices are understood and followed by the team.
  • Partnering with product and design leads to share ideas, contribute to feature design, and advocate for the best possible player experience.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) developing live, free-to-play mobile games.
  • Solid experience in a people leadership role (at least 5 years) where you've successfully managed and mentored other developers with compassion and clarity.
  • A deep understanding of game architecture and API design with a proven track record of helping teams write clean, scalable, and high-quality code in C#/Unity.
  • A cooperative spirit and proven success in defining and implementing technical strategies and engineering best practices within a game team.
  • A live service mindset and expertise, where you own technical KPIs and use data to maintain a healthy and performant live game.
  • Deep enthusiasm about the player experience where you work closely with product and design teams to help shape the future of the game.
