Make extraordinary happen
At NCS Australia, we’re the challenger alternative in technology services and consulting. With more than 47 years of Australian heritage, we partner with governments and leading organisations to solve complex challenges, embrace new opportunities and deliver outcomes that make a real difference.
Our people bring together expertise across technology, consulting, delivery, operations, sales and corporate functions. We work collaboratively, challenge the status quo and give our people the opportunity to make an impact — for our clients, our communities and each other.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in driving key capabilities across our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) transformation program. In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between business requirements, solution architecture, security engineering, and delivery squads.
You will lead the technical elicitation, analysis, and mapping of complex identity flows — including Universal Login ID, Digital Identity Verification, Authentication, Identity Lifecycle Management, and Customer Access Management. Working deeply with REST APIs, modern security protocols, and system integrations, you will translate architecture patterns into actionable user stories, sequence maps, and acceptance criteria while actively supporting SIT, UAT, and technical defect resolution.
If you excel at navigating high-level customer journeys alongside low-level platform architecture and technical identity standards, this opportunity offers a compelling platform to shape modern enterprise identity solutions.
Qualifications- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst delivering complex technical transformations, with dedicated domain expertise in CIAM, Identity & Access Management, or Digital Identity.
- Strong technical understanding of core customer identity concepts, including Universal Login ID, Digital Identity Verification (IDV), Authentication, Authorisation, SSO, MFA, and Identity Lifecycle Management.
- Hands-on experience working with REST APIs, system integration architecture, digital channels, and modern identity standards (such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, or enterprise platforms like Auth0, Ping, Okta, or ForgeRock).
- Demonstrated track record producing clear technical BA artifacts, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), API integration requirements, process/sequence models, and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Expertise working in Agile delivery environments using tools like JIRA and Confluence to manage backlogs, trace requirements (RTM), and support technical testing through to release.
- Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical, security, and architectural concepts into clear business outcomes.
