ABOUT THE POSITION
ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Technical Artist specializing in Procedural Content Generation and World Building, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining UE5 PCG workflows used by Level Art and Environment Art teams.
You will work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to establish scalable procedural systems, improve production efficiency, and ensure generated content meets both visual quality and performance targets.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with practical production experience in procedural generation, world-building pipelines, optimization, and Unreal Engine 5 ecosystem technologies.
Daily tasks:
- Design and implement scalable PCG frameworks in Unreal Engine 5.
Develop production-ready procedural tools for Level Art and Environment Art teams.
Build reusable procedural systems for biome population, vegetation placement, set dressing, road generation, and world composition.
Define technical requirements and create implementation tasks for artists, designers, and engineers.
Establish procedural generation standards and best practices.
Collaborate with Level Artists to improve production workflows and iteration speed.
Optimize procedural systems for World Partition-based projects.
Analyze performance, memory usage, and streaming behavior of generated content.
Document workflows, tools, and technical standards.
Must have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in game development or CG industry.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Artist.
Advanced knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
Strong production experience with UE5 Procedural Content Generation (PCG) Framework.
Experience building artist-friendly procedural workflows and toolsets for Level Artists and Environment Artists.
Deep understanding of World Partition, Data Layers, HLOD, Streaming, and open-world production workflows.
Strong understanding of environment optimization techniques and performance profiling.
Experience designing scalable content pipelines for large environments.
Experience writing technical documentation and defining technical requirements for cross-functional teams.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Art, Design, and Engineering departments.
Strong understanding of Unreal Engine rendering and content pipelines.
Wished:
- Experience with Houdini and Houdini Engine for Unreal (strong plus but not required).
Experience with Geometry Script.
Experience with Editor Utility Widgets and pipeline automation.
Blueprint scripting experience.
C++ knowledge for Unreal Engine workflows.
Expertise in shaders, materials, and rendering optimization.
Experience with Landscape, RVT, Foliage, Procedural Foliage, Splines, and World Building systems.
Python scripting experience.
Niagara and procedural VFX knowledge.
Environment Art production experience.
Knowledge of modular environment creation workflows and asset optimization.
