About the role:

As an IT Architect at FIS, you’ll help shape the backbone of our global fintech platforms — ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. You’ll play a critical role in guiding how systems and software are selected, deployed, and managed, all while supporting core business operations and driving innovation.

About the team:

You’ll be part of our Enterprise Payments Professional Services team, working at the cutting edge of payment architecture optimization.

Collaborating with expert teams across borders, you’ll help create solutions that are both globally scalable and locally effective.

What you will be doing:

• Work in the Professional Services organization on large and complex multi year payment projects as a technical expert/guru

• Design and defend to customers, solutions for complex technical problems and challenges. Go to expert

• Build and deliver tailored demonstrations of our payment solutions.

• Deep understanding of customer environments, focusing on architecture, resilience, performance, RPO, and RTO requirements within the payment’s domain.

• Act as a strategic liaison between departments — from Product Management to Development — to form a seamless virtual team.

• Provide “creative” solutions for complex technical challenges and issues

What you bring:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level application software architecture, with proven expertise in cloud environments or payment systems.

• Programming & Frameworks Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Generative AI

• Cloud & DevOps : Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines, SVN/GIT

• Databases : Oracle SQL, Postgress

• Messaging & Streaming : Kafka, MQ

• Methodologies & Tools : Agile-Scrum, REST, SOA

• A strong background in crafting proposals, demos, and customer-facing presentations.

• Experience architecting enterprise payment solutions is highly desirable.

• Ability to communicate complex technical, architectural, and resilience concepts in a clear, client-friendly way.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a strong command of MS Office tools.

• Creative, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

• Familiarity with banking payment systems.

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud providers.

• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and broader technology ecosystems.
