Senior Technical Accountant
Hybrid: Wilmington, DE
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background and experience in a multinational, global business environment. This role involves ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other international accounting standards, standing up global policies and controls as well as supporting various accounting projects. The Technical Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance operations, finance business partners, tax, and FP&A, to provide technical accounting guidance and company policy direction, ensuring accurate financial reporting and process consistency across global operations.
Some of the things you will be doing:
Policies and Compliance:
- Draft and review global policy documents to ensure alignment and consistency across different regions and teams
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other international accounting standards and regulations
- Review financial statements for accuracy and adherence to applicable accounting standards
- Assist in overseeing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Collaborate with external auditors and co-manage the audit process to ensure smooth and timely completion
Technical Accounting:
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, and financial instruments
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the company's financial statements
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures that enhance compliance, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency across global teams
Financial Analysis and Support:
- Review financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Work with the finance team to optimize financial processes and systems for increased accuracy and efficiency
- Support the company's transformation process by creating policies aimed at improving consistency among processes across different global teams and ERPs
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance operations, finance business partners, tax, and FP&A to ensure alignment on accounting matters and provide technical guidance
- Collaborate with other departments, including legal and operations, to support accounting-related issues and maintain process integrity
- Provide training and support to the finance team and other stakeholders on technical accounting issues and standards
What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on technical accounting and financial reporting in a multinational company
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standards (IFRS a plus)
- Experience with financial systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Experience with EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) software is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
